here’s a reminder going out to all councillors: there will be an orientation training camp on 21st-23rd of dec (wed-fri). camp fees will be 20dollars. please remember to bring ur consent forms, signed! and hand in to ur comm heads. also, pls rmbr to bring ur BLAZER ATTIRE (vv impt!)

blazer attire is blazer, white long sleeved blouse or shirt, a-line skirt or long white pants, cord shoes or leather shoes, tie and tie pin.

hey councillors, orientation is coming soon so get prepared! wad kind of an ogl do u want to be dis yr? nice and kind? treating the sec ones lyk little preciouses and make sure they dont come to any harm and that they have a really great time so tat they will love the school and council and be super enthu kias for as long as possible in ahs (which, unfortunately is not very long) or do u want to be a super sadistic ogl and terrorise the freshies, making them do ultimately stupid things and freak them out so much that they will never again lyk ahs and would jump at the slightest chance to transfer out?

i hope we all be good ogls (juniors are u listening?) haha. i remember last yr we had so much fun in orientation! esp the finale nite. who says u need a campfire to make it fun? except for poor noah tho, i hear he went two years straight almost solo, his partners had things on and couldnt stay for the entire camp. haha, sad. wonder whose grp will win bez og dis yr.

this is the first post on the council blog!

as we all noe it’s not easy being a councillor in AHS or in any skl for that matter. no one can put a finger on the real reason as to y being a student leader is never easy and never really appreciated by the majority of the school going population, even the teaching and non-teaching staff. however, it is possible to put a finger on y itz good to be a councillor (in AHS)

i’ve compiled a top ten reasons y itz really a fantastic thing to be a councillor, even with all the stress and the pressure to be a role model, etc, etc.

1. we get to wear uniforms that look smart (with tie and all)
2. when we are on morning duty we dont have to sit in boring morning assembly
3. when we have to attend investitures and other activities, we get to leave class early (more often than the rest)
4. we get to run some of the coolest places in school (eagles nest, rne cafe)
5. we decide wad kind of programmes and items that should be performed in concerts (functions)
6. who else can stay in skl after 6.30 unless u are a councillor (or uncle hassan)? (publicity to put up deco)
7. no other cca group in skl has such an elaborate and grand handover lyk ours
8. u get to lead sec ones in orientation and decide whether u wan to be super sadistic and mean or be a nice and kind OGL
9. u get all the first hand information
10. we get to tease mr chua!

hahahaha.

so my top ten reasons y itz so fun and cool to be a councillor in ahs.
